Is wax vaporising a chemical or physical reaction?

Physical. You apply heat and the wax vaporizes. If you apply a solvent (such as acetate or alcohol), the similar vaporizing reaction would be chemical.

I think it's chemical(assuming that you are not heating it). Since wax does no undergo sublimation (It's melting point is 45 °C far above the room temperature), it is reasonable to assume that wax reacts chemically when it vaporises. :p

physical reactions can be reversed, chemical ones can't. i think it's physical.
