Choosing the right colours is important for your lipstick too. Avoid pale colours and go for warmer tones, like copper, coral, bronze, dark red, wine, burgundy. For lipstick too, you can mix two colours to get the shades that suit your skin. For the night, you will need colours that are darker and more intense. If the colour is too light, use brown first and then the lighter colour. Bright red lipstick can be toned down with tinted lip gloss. At night, you should use darker and brighter colours. If you feel your lip has too much colour, use a tissue paper to blot it. Try to match the colours of make-up on your lips and nails. The blusher should also blend with the lip colour. For example, if you use orange lipstick, avoid using a pink toned blusher. It is also important to balance your make-up, so that the eyes or lips do not look more brilliant than one another. Tone down your entire make-up in colour and intensity, because it should not be more prominent than your features or your clothes. The whole effect should balance and blend.

Choosing the right color specially for very dark women is difficult. The best colors are not dark colors, but medium to light, but not too light. Avoid brown tones (as you should in clothes), favor contrast. Medium pink, coral and orange, are hits on your lips. Red orange is too a good option, as red pink. You can choose between a full coverage (very difficult to find) or just gloss in this colors... Please read my other answers to find more about your beauty.

Call me crazy, but I say go nude. Nude does not mean some pasty blah color. It means go for something that's colorless and transparent, with a high shine. I'm guessing your black, so your lips are probably fairly large. Show off what you got with a see-through lipgloss (I recommend Revlon Moondrops or Revlon Superlustrous Lipgloss in "Toast to Shine.") You mentioned you use Lamke products, so I say see if Lamke carries a moisturizing lip gloss. Big lips tend to try out quickly, and wrinkly, chapped lips don't look sexy. So go for a nude, moisturizing lip gloss instead of lipstick: it will bring out what you got.

with a dark skin you should avoid red but pink or magenta is just fine
or if you like to suit your dark skin you could have a black (but not too black and dark cause you'll look sulky)lipstick
hope you become prettier!
