Simplify y. y=(3/cscT)-a million=3sinT-a million sinT=(y+a million)/3 Convert x so all variables are sinT. x=2cos^2T-2sin^2T+4 x=2(a million-sin^2T)-2sin^2T+4 x=2-2sin^2t-2sin^2T+4 x=6-4sin^2t Now replace sinT into the above equation. x=6-4((y+a million)/3)^2 x=6-(4/9)(y+a million)^2
