It must be both stamped by the court and signed by the judge, a solicitor cannot sign in lieu of a judge, they simply don't have that authority.

I have been divorcrd twice, and both times (same court), the Decree Absolute only had the court seal in red ink. It did not stop me from marrying for the second time here in the UK, but things may be different in other countries. I am planning to marry my Thai g/f later this year and I know that the Thai authorities require extra proof of my freedom to marry which I can obtain through thier embassy here.

I would suggest that you ask the British Embassy where you are for some advice on the matter.

I hope this helps and good luck.

I have been divorced twice, and both my Absolute's are just stamped by the Court.I have had to produce them for re-marriage myself and for other purposes i.e. my Pension and have never had as problem.

I don't see why this would not be sufficient, but different countries might have different rulings.

Good luck anyway.

Just be sure before you wed that it's what you really want, remember how hard it was getting out of the last marriage?

You know what they say " marry in haste-repent at liesure"

Consult the law books in uk or a lawyer from that country.

Secondly why do u have to declare that u r married at the time of marrying some one else.

I think it needs to be signed off by a Judge.
