to slam my dresser against the wall?? My neighbor's alarm clock starts to beep at 5:45 and she lets it go for 10 - 15 mins!
At least this morning...I got her a** out of bed pretty darn quick. So was it wrong of me to do this???

All is fair with rude, self-centered people. Just don't put a hole in your wall. Wait till she's asleep and do the same for her.

Let's put it this way--it was certainly understandable. But as for useful? Maybe not so much. The goal here is to get your neighbor to move her alarm clock or buy a softer one. So I recommend going over to her door, apologizing and telling her you were just really cranky and tired this morning and you're really sorry. Then ask her how this situation can be improved. Could she move her alarm clock to another location in the room? Could she get a different alarm clock? You can ask her if she could turn her alarm off right away, but if it's ringing that long, it's unlikely that habit is going to change. Suggest a zen alarm clock. They start chiming softly and then get louder, but it's not the kind of noise that will disturb you much even if you hear it.

No I don't think so you could have yelled at her. Who in there right mind would let there alarm clock go off for 10-15 min.

No , how rude can a person be to let the alarm ring that long. Try playing Joan Jetts I Love Rock-n-Roll intro really loud next time. heehee then listen for the thud as she falls out of bed.

yes, rudeness (even retaliatory) is unacceptable. you should simply talk to her politely and inform her that her clock also wakes you up, and could she please move it away from your mutual wall.
