I took both. I still don't know haow to read or speak german. I can read to some degree French. Despite what everyone says there are more French words in English than German. PLus some of those German words are a mile long.

Depends what your native language is.

If you speak Dutch, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian or Swedish then I'd guess German is easier.

If you speak Castillian, Catalan, Portuguese, Italian, Galician or Romanian then French should be easier.

If you speak English, then you'll probably find French easier. Despite English being a Germanic language, so much of English is taken from Norman French, that you'll find it makes more logical sense to you than German.

My daughter is in French and German classes. She says there are some French words that appear to resemble English words.You would assume you know what it means by looking at it, but it's usually different. It's also easy if you know Spanish.

German language is harder to learn. French is easier to learn, it is similar to Spanish. Spanish is the easiest to learn.

Having studied both I would say German because of all the tenses that it involves

For me..it is French which is hard to pronounce.
