She openly admitted it in an interview she gave with someone I am blanking on who at the moment. She said she wanted to get in touch with her more "urban" side that she didn't feel like she could do given she wasn't all that urban looking.

she changed with this last album. although this is nice ( i really like say it right, all good things and someone to love), i prefer her old stuff better. whoa nelly is her best album, even if songs like promiscuous( so like any other song and so yukkie!) sold more copies

she has, i heard an interview with her and it was her mum that told her to "sex it up a bit" if she wants to make it to the big leagues.
