Going travelling to South America soon and dont want to carry 5 thick travel guide books with me. Anyone know if i can get travel guide books in eBook form? Dont care what format, might just buy the reader that supports the format thats most abundant. eReader, iPod, smartphone, etc. Dont even know whats out there since never looked into eBooks before.
thanks!

I found one for south america from frommers, here's a link for u: http://www.ebooks.com/ebooks/book_display.asp?IID=184733
It's $24 and has information on all the countries there.

I read that frommer's is for older people and lonely planet is for younger ones, so maybe you should check out your favourite version before purchasing it, then just google ebooks and you'll get tons of results.

I know that a palm pilot supports ebooks, but I'm not sure if an ipod does, it would definately be compact if it did.

I have only read lonely planet paper books, but I like your idea for saving space, especially if you're going on a longer trip, I will give ebooks a try on my next trip. Thanx :)
