I have just purchased the Alba DVD recorder, and I can find no mention in the manual of how to finalize a DVD so that I can play it in other DVD players. Help please

I have a vague idea, that if the disc is a DVD-R, you don`t need to finalize it. But if it is a DVD+R then I know you do. Put the disc in the machine, and search your menu/function button which should have the finalize option. Try taping a disc for 30 secs, then see if you can finalize it, that way if it goes wrong, you have`nt lost too much. But I know from experience that not all DVD players will play a "home made" disc.

in spite of if it incredibly is a 2x or a 4x disc, you will nonetheless be recording in real time from a VCR or Camcorder so the recording time will stay the comparable, even with the undeniable fact which you would be able to in good condition greater hours on a disc yet high quality will go through. On my Phillips recorder it helps me to bypass into the menu and upload or erase bankruptcy markers. i've got faith it is the case for all DVD+/- recorders, so sure you are able to desire to have the skill to. On mine once you're on the foremost reveal screen the place it shows your recorded cloth press the up (^) button and it brings you to the disc edit constructive components. Erase, shield, upload or subtract bankruptcy markers, cut up call and such. You did no longer point out what sort DVD recorder you're utilising. If it incredibly is a typical technology recorder (DVD-R) purely then i do no longer think of they permit you to edit disc's as plenty because of the fact the greater moderen +/- machines.
