If you don't want a child, assume that there is NO safe time to have unprotected sex. Every woman is different so guidelines don't always apply.

Be responsible, use a condom.

Please don't try natural contraception unless you would not be too stressed if she got pregnant. Its best to use if you would be prepared to have a baby if that happened. Her cycle needs to be very regular and it takes a lot of practice to know what your body is up to. It is effective if you know what you are doing but not something to just try if you really don't want to get pregnant because if you don't know what you are doing its not a very good success rate. If you still want to do it see your doctor you will need to do a chart of her cycle for months before you have unprotected sex and they maybe able to help with that.

usually, from the end of her period, about 10 days. then, cut off for a while (ovulation tests will help tell you when she's safe again). However, this is absolutely no guarantee. She could have an irregular cycle or something once, and once is all it takes.
