The need to always be better than my friends eg. better job, better car, better house..... I know it's sad but it makes me feel better about my sad sorry little life.

It all depends on the situation.....
I'm a quilter and attending quilt shows and seeing other's work often inspires me to start quilting. Sometimes just jumping on the internet works---Visiting other quilter's blogs and seeing what they've been up to.
But I think what motivates me the most is having an idea and liking it so much that I run with it until I see it come to fruition. It was like that when I decided to make a quilt for my little girl. Every waking moment was spent either working on it or thinking of working on it. I hated to go to sleep at night and couldn't wait to get up in the morning to work on it again. It was like that until I got it finished. I love working on projects like that. It's quite motivating.....

Sense of accomplishment! That's what motivates me. Whether it is a small project such as lawn mowing or a big & complicated project at work, that feeling of accomplishment fuels the big appetite I have for getting motivated for the next step.

Money and retiring with a very nice nest egg for myself and my fiancee, so that when all the hard work is done, the relaxing and love can kick in 24/7.

To tell you really, it's the people who laugh at me & those who comments on my shortcomings ... motivate me. My classmates used to laugh at my unsmart-look & my nagging-voice when I was a fresher. But their rude comments helped me to stand within top three students during final engineering exams.

im not that motivated, but theres this guy who motivates me to do good, he wants to see me succeed and he helps me out a lot. hes a really good friend.

when i'm at work (((not anymore i got fired))) i sing (and others laugh at it) when i'm in love all i can listen to is love songs.
and when i am just bored i put my headphones on.
