Remember your Ps & Qs is what we are told when we grow up! But now is it just lip-service? All our warnings say 'Please this' and 'Please that' (eg. Please don't put your feet on the chairs) but many don't even pay attention. We seem to say please and thank you for everything - even when ppl tread on our toes!

A bit OTT?? I mean, I HATE bad manners but are we just too extreme??

I have never really thought of it before. But i can see people becoming complacent at people use manners. And people soon notice when people don't use there P's and Q's.

I don't think its possible to accuse anyone of being too polite its better than way then a nation full of people that have no manners at all.

Where do you live? I'm moving there! I'm from Glasgow but have lived all over the UK and am constantly complaining about the LACK of manners. From Edinburgh to Cheltenham, from London to Glastonbury, from Glasgow to Manchester it's all the same. We're becoming too Americanized!
