I think it means that most of the Patriots games were won or lost by less than 7 points. i.e. AFC championship, the Colts beat the Patriots by 4 points (less than 7 points). When they played the Chargers they won by 3 points (less than 7 points). Last 2 SBs (Eagles and Pathers by 3 points)...and I don't remember the scores of the other games.

I think I saw a graphic tonight that Belichick was 9-0 in games decided by a TD or less. Which means they're 9-1 now under Belichick.
