There are hundreds and thousands of words that can get you high scores and you can learn these only by playing more and more games of Scrabble.

However, in the short run, you can learn up the two letter words in Scrabble. These are small but pack a power punch sometimes. For example, a Q or Z on the triple letter can fetch you an amazing number of points if they join twice.

Scrabble has two official dictionaries, the SOWPODS and TWL. For more information on that go to http://www.scrabulous.com/scrabble_dictionary.php

For the 2 letter word list of SOWPODS go to

and for the TWL two letter word list go to

Assuming you're using TWL as a North American player...
The best 2's are XI, QI, ZA, JO.
The best 3's are QAT, SUQ, ZEK, KEX, ZEP, WIZ, etc.
4's, ZERK, ZARF.
For bonus plays using your entire rack, the most likely words to draw (according to computer simulations) are ERASION, ATONIES, SENARII for 7's and AERATION, AEROLITE and INERTIAE for 8's.
Beginners often complain about drawing so many 1 point tiles, but if you can slap down AEROLITE for 70 points or whatever, you probably won't be complaining about 1 pointers too loudly.
