the movie was worth the money and the time. it is simply great, full of teachings for today's life and people! great plot, great pictures, keep you guessing all the way to the end. it's not a movie or a documentary about the Azteque (do not know why people would expect that), go watch it if you want a reminder about the important things in life. it is amazing. forget it was made by mel gibson, who cares anyway, the movie is simply GREAT!

I thought it was amazing. Really gruesome though but that adds to the whole sense of the time frame etc. The overall story was so sad, just picking up people like they were animals. But a good ending for his wife and two children.
It was the only film in a long time to get my heart racing, especially when he was running through the forest to get back to his family and those guys were chasing him.

It was a B movie. Personally I don't like any movies that have to do with melee weapons. I didn't like plot, and in the end I felt like it was a waste of time. I didn't learn anything from it except that Aztecs were maniacal people who sacrificed other people for their own beliefs.
