I'm from the north west, but...
It's grim up north, a friend of mine drove up yesterday, set off in beautiful sunshine, progressed through shades of grey until it started p***ing it down and she eventually arrived in Lancashire... poor lass
As to your neck of the woods, I love the north-east. The women have no fear and also seem to have no sense of the fact it's freezing. Short skirt and boob tube... at this time of year... won't you get cold love? No, because cold is a state of mind, and I intend to lose my mind through drink and drugs, so I don't need to worry about it's state... I'l just need to find it tomorrow. Canny

Never been up north (apart from when I was about 9 or 10 and I went to Liverpool for a few days). Generally I think it’s nice living up north. People seem to be slightly friendlier, and the accent is lovely!

We love Yorkshire and found the people very friendly (sometimes too friendly!) Lancashire is beautiful although we didn't really get to know any locals. Barrow-in-furness was a great disappointment and the people were very unfriendly. Newcastle we found so-so and the locals were a bit aggressive towards us (Londoners) Sorry to anyone from Newcastle who is not like this, can only go by what we found at the time. In general terms we found Northerners friendly and helpful but it did surprise them to find that we "soft southerners" aren't as snobby as they thought!

I think the people are cold, just like the weather
There's no work
Northerner's are all fat
They think they know evrythinIf your unlucky to be in Wales you'll find that they are all predudice
and
they balways moan over the slightest thing
but like i said, it's only an opinion.
