i'm not up to par on the latest gadgets,and i'd like to know which to buy and the difference in their performance,and what should i expect? which should i purchase? ipod or mp3 please help!

an IPod IS an mp3 player, it's the brand name of an mp3 player. you can buy one with different storage sizes, but IPods cost more, the reason being is they have ITunes; which is very essential to have if you get a video. (30gb,60gb,80gb)

I gotta tell you that I'm biased for the Ipod and that's mainly because of their tech support and music store. Other than that you can get by with any MP3 player because they all do the same thing. It really depends on the amount of music you want to put on it and how much you want to spend.

iPod is just a name - it's what Apple calls their MP3 players.
Sony calls theirs Network Walkman, Creative calls theirs Zen.
They're all MP3 players.

its really no different than asking what the difference is between Lee's Jeans or Wrangler Jeans..
It's just a different brand of the same thing.. which is better is completely based on opinions
