DESPERATE
85% of people in India are desperate working slaves in an informal economy and their lives oscillate between fear and frustration.
EVEN MORE DESPERATE
The remaining High Net Worth Individuals in India are always in search of collusion mostly in the form of caste to enhance their wealth.
SOLUTION
A credible minimum income guaranteed system for every one whether they work or not will bring in dignity instead of desperation for the working poor and inheritance taxes will stimulate compassion instead of collusion.
Such system will prevent all socioeconomic issues in India viz farmer suicides, dowry deaths, child labor, fear, frustration, corruption, bribery, prostitution, terrorism etc.

Life standards are entirely depend upon your capacity to earn enough to meet the cost of living at desired level/standard. The only way to increase the earning power is by learning and using better skills for better wages. What government can do is to provide opportunity to obtain education/training to its population. Government also should encourage private participation in increasing employment generation. If the majority is productively employed the life standards of our majority will increase.
Note:- ONE FAOUR OUR GOVERNMENT SHOULD DO IS TO REDUCE NUMBER OF CLERKS AND INSPECTORS WHO ARE THAT MAIN ROAD BLOCK FOR ANYTHING MEANINGFUL.

It has one of the best standard of living in the world. Only problem is, it is reseved only for the few privileged ones. They don't want others to have better QOL, otherwise the cost of labour will go high and they can not expand their vast empire. It will not change. Bye.

try some credit banking. Instead of lending money to urbane population which uses credit for splurging, it would make more sense to render this service to the needy farmers, who could use to money to survive.
