I believe the upper limit in the uk is something like 22 weeks - but please do not let it go this far - trust me, for your sake, the sooner the better.

In the early stages of pregnancy they will give you two lots of medication on two different days.

All that said, you need to be SO sure you are making the right choice. Abortion is neither a form of contraception or an easy answer. Neither is it un-doable, once it's done it's done (i know this is obvious, but think about it)

Please talk to the medical professionals and seek some counselling.

God bless. XXX.

The UK's abortion law

Abortion is legal in the UK up to the 24th week of pregnancy. However, if there is a substantial risk to the woman's life or if there are foetal abnormalities there is no time limit.

To comply with the 1967 Abortion Act, two doctors must give their consent, stating that to continue with the pregnancy would present a risk to the physical or mental health of the woman or her existing children.

However, the 1967 Act does not extend to Northern Ireland, where abortion is still illegal. <<<<< this was found on the Marie Stopes web site.

No, not anytime. Of course, the earlier the better (or I would say better never). Abortion is possible maximum till the 24th week of one's pregnancy, because at that time a spin nerve is connected to the brain and a baby starts feeling the pain, so this is considered as a murder already. The 'best' period for abortion is till the 12th week, after that there might be problems with one's health after the procedure. It is more complicated and expensive.

The doctors can give you an abortion up to 20 weeks gestation. However if there is an abnormality with the baby an abortion can be performed after this date with the agreement of two doctors. Remember a fetus (baby) is viable (able to live) from about 20 -24 weeks. The sooner the better as the sooner an abortion is had the less traumatic the experience. Good luck

I think that after the 3rd trimester you cannot have an abortion anymore. But, I would rethink having an abortion, there are many couples out there looking to adopt a baby. Like me and my husband. We've been trying for 2 years to get pregnant but have had no luck. Now we are looking for other resources. I wish you the best.

Having an abortion is advisable up to 12 weeks of pregnancy after that the feutus is well developed has nerves and can feel sensations.

For humane reasons you should carry on with the pregnancy if you past the twelve weeks, give birth then maybe adopt the baby to someone who hasnt been blessed with kids.

First of all, one would hope that a "girl" is not having the abortion. I assume from the cavalier tone of your question tho that you are not very old. You discuss killing your unborn baby like you are having a cavity filled.
Why didn't you use birth control?
I am not sure why the sacred gift of fertility has been given to you but why not turn it into something noble, have the precious baby and put it up for adoption.

The legal cut off point is 22 weeks to have an abortion. If you are 22 weeks and 1 day you have got to have the baby.

OF COURSE THERE IS!!!! legal abortion limit i think is 23 or 24 weeks, but im not sure if it has been moved down as a baby born at 23 weeks can live. Personally i think that is far to late on in a pregnancy to be able to abort.

This is something you should ask a doctor not here to be honest
