Actually, the taboo against eating dog meat (or cat meat, for that matter) is primarily a Western phenomenon, and to claim moral superiority over someone who chooses to eat what millions of people all over the world have been eating for thousands of years only demonstrates our remarkable ignorance (not to mention xenophobia!). Yes, as long as there are no signs of decomposition, you can safely eat the labrador IF it is fully cooked. Since dog meat tends to be pink even when fully-cooked, err on the side of overcooking. Don't worry, dog meat is fatty (like duck) and does not dry out easily.

Gross, but if you are serious....you need to take him out of the freezer and cut off all of the meat for it to be good if you decide to eat it. I wouldn't if I were you, you don't know what it died from, and what fatal diseases it may be carrying. The only way I eat road kill (birds usually) is if I hit it with my own car and know how it died.

Depends what it died of! There aren't too many transferrable illnesses between dogs and man, but there are plenty of bacteria and single-celled organisms which could have caused it's death which could easily get you too. If you clean it out, cook it thoroughly and only eat the muscle tissue, it's probably ok, but I wouldn't risk it myself!

I wouldn't recommend eating it. It may have rabies or other diseases. Domesticated animals are also usally illegal to eat in the US, if that is where you are.
