I noticed that my teacher constantly interrupts me in class; something that he does not do with other students. How do I get him to stop? I tried asking for permeation to speak by raising my hands (my friends don’t do that), and it didn’t work. I also tried to keep talking as he interprets, still didn’t work. What would you do?

Say what you have to say really fast- and then shut up and sit down. If he looks at you, look back at him with the expression"ok, whats the answer?" and waiting for him to speak.

Since he never heard you in the first place he will ask you to repeat what you said.

Any teacher will tell you that they interrupt a student very rarely, Personally I think the only allowable reasons are the following:

1. They speak soooo slowly- so you say words that you think they want to say to hurry them up- kind of " Cmon we havent got the whole day"

2. They dont get to the point, just sort of ramble on and on around something so you get a feeling that they dont know what they are talking about.

3. Lots of Uhs and Ahs and shuffle shuffle look at feet look at ceiling.- so you call someone else.

4. Maybe you have a very strong accent? English is not your first language?

If the last one is true, work on the accent. He might be trying to help out by interpreting to the class what you are saying. He doesnt mean to offend you at all.

talk to him after class gets out, when no one's in the room. If that doesn't work, you could go to the principle, or you could stop trying to talk in class haha sorry!

Stay after class and ask him to discuss this with you.
If he wont, take it up with the proper authority.

try talking to the class instead of him. that'll piss him off.
or....you could just meet him later an dtell him what you think. and wonder why that is.
