I work with college students at a urban community college. I found that the over arching issue is a matter of trust. To often we have seen our politicians lie and cheat. Second I think it is about being informed. Youth do not take the time to educate themselves (mostly because of the trust issue). My thing is if don't want all of these dirty politicians we need to vote them out of office and be more engaged in our political system.

Maybe because they could care less about politics. Many urban youth don't even want to go to school let alone care about the direction of our country.
