If you just got her then you must already have vet appointments lined up for her vaccinations. Talk to your vet about it. It sounds normal to me, but she could have an underlying bladder infection that if left untreated will become very painful for her. At 4 months old, and with this problem she should really be sleeping in a kennel. The kennel should only be large enough for her to stand up, turn around and lay down. If it is any bigger she will pee at one end and sleep at the other. When you take her out of the kennel, immediately take her outside and instruct her to 'go potty'. Only give her a few minutes to perform this task and take her back in, otherwise she won't understand that she is out there to potty verses running, playing and exploring. While she potties, quietly praise her (so you don't distract her too much from her task), when she is done, praise her with excitement and petting to let her know how pleased you are (she will definitely want to get that reaction again). Make sure that all piddle spots inside are cleaned with a pet stain/odor neutralizer. The cleaning products that satisfy our senses will not satisfy the acute sense of smell that a dog has and she will actually be encourage to return to those spots (as will otherwise well trained dogs that are visiting). You didn't mention her breed(s), some breeds generally are easier to potty train than others. Good luck and don't forget to talk to the vet to rule out any medical conditions that you may need to be aware of and treat. Good luck and enjoy your new puppy.

Hmm you could pee in your pants.. or if you are a guy then use your feet and move some sort of container in front of you then aim and fire.

Or just live life on the edge, stand up and go pee then when you come back it may or may not be as comfy.. no one knows, like a game of chance.. living dangerously. sounds like an adventure.

Well Jesus, just remember the old saying, "What goes in must eventually come out". Now that is entirely up to you whether that happens in your comfy chair or in the Bano.
