Well there isn't much of facts so I could answer, but if the shaking in hands starts everytime while at rest it indicates on Parkinson's. What that means - when he is resting his hand on a table, on a sofa (not doing any action) and hand starts shaking in a rythmic way it is called resting tremor and it is one of the symptoms of Parkinson's. Have you notice any stiffness while walking? Anything esle excapt tremor?

You have to give little bit more information so we could give you a hint here, but naturally it would be the best to visit neurologist.

He should go to see a doctor immediately. This may be nothing, but it could be the start of something that can be cured if caught early enough
