Planning for a family trip to Penang with two young kids. Can anyone suggest a good place to stay (along beach?). Accessible to night market for good food & shopping.

I recommend u to stay at
-Batu feringgi Beach
Its near the beach & near the night market.
U can stay in Lone Pines Resort (been here) or Holiday Inn.
Depends on your budget & ur choice..

You should stay by Batu Ferringhi. It is one of best beaches in Penang. It has good hotels, nice view, good clubs and markets.

Penang is a great place food and drinks are everywhere. You should stay at Shangril Hotel.
Food is everywhere and have the time eat out.

batu Feringghi Beach along North coast of penang island, there's many hotels and resort along the coast.

Batu Ferringhi has night market...and food is everywhere of course.

Golden Sand Hotel and Grand Park Royal Hotel, both two are ***** stars hotel. Shang'Hotel is ******* hotel, is newly renovated recently. Night market is just along the three hotels that i have mentioned! Make sure you BARGAIN BARGAIN, min 50% from the price they quoted! Pirated DVD/CD is a must the get it there, basically just RM4/DVD/CD. Food is easy to get there, from restaurants to hawkers, please go to the food court instead for variesties!
Tips :
Make sure you bring your sun blocked along.
