I don't really want to answer this but I will.

The only advice I can give is be careful before you decide! Although it probably seems boring, there are peoples feelings and probably dreams involved if its been years! (Altho I don't know this person and you haven't put a lot of detail!)

I have been in this position more than once and although you may see your current relationship as boring, it might also be called "familiar".

I suspect you need to do a lot of talking to both parties involved and maybe best one to one with both.

As already said make sure it really is true love and not just excitement because someone paid you some "cheap attention". The feelings are very similar and at times impossible for some people to tell the difference between them.

If you do leave your current one be human and compassionate about it, don't go lying or "not telling" him about things or how you feel you have spent years with this person they deserve some respect regardless of how "boring" you think the relationship is.

If you ignore most of this, try to remember this: It takes two to make a relationship boring!

You'll probably not like to hear this (there goes my best answer lol!) But it sounds to me like you are blaming this other person and you probably have communication problems or faults of your own which along with the other persons have caused this situation!

Otherwise it would be sorted by now and you would not be looking for someone else let alone assuming you're in love!

Why do not you leave this and enjoy the new one. Who stops you in doing so? Tell you ex that I can not go on further. BUT are you sure that the love you have found is true and that the earlier one was not faitfhul or trust worthy. If so then leave the earlier one. You can never go along with two relationship at a time.

It takes two to tango and if your current relationship is boring, don't blame your partner.

you make sure about your feelings..... love is not how long you had it but its something that you feel that wanted and what makes you happy.
