I think they are probably sewage pipes, either waiting to be installed or old unused ones. Though I haven't been there to see them.

They are hay bails, due to the mild winter harvest has been done early. I've got snow drops in my back garden (no joke)

I THINK I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GOING ON ABOUT. ARENT THEY OLD DRAINAGE PIPE SECTIONS, WHICH THEY NEVER BOTHERED LAYING, AND THE FARMER TOOK THEM ON, AND USED/USES THEM AS 'FEEDERS FOR CATTLE?
