just to be very honest with your partner and always be supportive for them. trust them. tell them when you feel they have hurt you instead of keeping it inside . give space when needed. have a hobby. i been married to the same man since i was 16. I'm now 46 so we have been through alot. we have a son who is 26 and a daughter who is 29 and a grandson who is 12 another grandson who is 3 1/2 weeks old. and we are best friends. so i think that being a friend also helps so your partner wont need to go to another to say how they feel. i mean of course they and you need other friends nut there is just something about a husband and wife who really want to make it.will be bold enough to put all their effort into it.

Giving space. Communication. Attraction. Trust. Not seeing the other person as an extention of ourselves. Independence within the framework of the marriage.

Respect, love, commitment & trust, and the means to communicate and to take time to listen to one another, regardless of the issue, serious or small. And much hardwork!
