My father died in 78, and I still get nocturnal visits from him now and then! It's quite understandable for the setting to be unknown to you, especially if you are a driver and have visited many. Your dream is taking you to yet another one, which you may recognize if you do drive through in real life. Alternatively, this city may be a mix of several places you've been to in the past. Your subconscious has them all filed away, and they are pasted together in a collage in these dreams. Each time they may be the same, or they may be pasted together slightly different.

Sounds to me like they are both happy with where they are. He is telling you all about it, while she is sitting and happily smiling. Other than the fact that your parents have passed on, I don't see any death in those dreams. No way can I tell you what they are saying. That's for you alone to interpret. But it doesn't seem foreboding to me. Good luck in figuring it all out!

Even though your parents have passed some time ago they most likely had a great deal of influence in your life. Visiting you in dreams is really more that YOU are visiting them... getting advice, reaching out for something you want here. I know there are the folks who go the Sylvia Brown route... but unless you have some SOLID evidence that they have manifested themselves in the physical... it is safer and more logical to stay in this realm. Parents in dreams can represent, advisors, counselors, comforters... sometimes even people who admonish or correct us about something we are concerned about. The settings you describe also have their own place in your day to days.

Keeping a journal of your deams when you worry about them or they concern is very healthy and a lot of times you can come to your own conclusions about them and then the dreams go away or change. Much luck to you and I hope you aren't dreaming while you're driving... ; ^ )
