Does anyone have a habit of picking things at their face or wherever like a zit or any other thing to pick? or you know how you can get dandruff so easy well i have it but you can't notice unless you're actually scratching my head and when i was like 14 or 15, after scratching it, i put it in little piles lol but it wasn't as much as you think! I am not dirty! I take showers and i like being clean! and that is a habit too i just don't do the piles thing anymore. Do you do this too?
I have OCD so i obsess over small things and even though these 2 things arn't bad to do, i feel like i have to tell the guy i like! I feel if he has to know every little thing about me. It's either OCD making me obsess over small things like this or it's my ex because he made me tell him every little thing i did with people in the past so now i feel i have to tell people EVERYTHING i do and did

Don't feel gross. I pick at my face even when my husband says nothing is there. I pick at my zits, blackheads that are completely unnoticable. I love peeling skin when it's sunburnt. Picking scabs. I think it's just human nature.

My husband has OCD and is managed very well with medications and talk therapy. Do you have either of these?

OCD is terribly strong and stubborn so wishing it away isn't always possible. It's just a mis-firing in your brain which often is caused by a chemical imbalance. It's not something you can wish away and they really aren't habits. They are obsessions - things you cannot stop thinking about and compulsions - things you feel you MUST do to feel better. The brain doesn't give you the option - you MUST do the compulsions to offset the obsessions. It's a terrible thing when it starts taking over your life.

Doctors suggest that when the compulsions take up two hours or more in your day and begin to limit your life in ways, it's time to seek help.

This is a life-long problem that will not go away. It cannot be unlearned or un-habituated. It's a processing error in the brain. So that is where the treatment begins, in the brain (with medications and talk therapy).

I sincerely hope you do not have too much suffering due to your OCD. Just knowing what's wrong can give some relief. If things do start to get out of hand then please don't hesitate to seek out a doctor for treatment. It's not worth the lost time and pain. There are better ways to live.

funny question, this.

Most people like doing this stuff, just won't admit it. It's primal monkey grooming stuff. Any other men that like popping the odd pimple here and there the wife or girlfriend tends to get on her butt at certain times of the month?
