I'm desperate to get help on the Zelda game for the wii. I've tried looking it up on other websites but I haven't had any luck. Hopefully someone extremely kind will help me out. I'm up tot he part in the forest temple where you use the boomerang to open the gates that contain the 'Big Key' inside. I've tried many times, backwards and forward to open these gates in the correct order. I have been doing exactly what the guide has been saying (from ign.com.au) but the gates simply won't open. I have locked in the boomerang aim also but nothing. PLEASE help me, I'm desperate and have been stuck trying to get through for over 40 minutes now! =(

I have done the Z shape, backwards & forwards in the correct order before. It doesn't work!! =(

u use the boomarang in a Z pattern then get the key then battle the boss

You do need to be careful when doing this Z shape. If you look to the floor, you will see a Z shape. This is the route you need to take. Stand in the centre of the Z. Firstly, lock onto the top left spinner, then the top right, then the bottom left, then the bottom right. Then release the boomerang, beinig sure you're looking at the top left spinner. If you hit the wrong one by accident, it won't work. That's why I suggested that you stay in the centre of the Z

follow the Z path on the floor. I tried doing it from the front of the pillars but I was accidentally targeting the same pillar twice so move around when you target them and if you have to target the last pillar twice and see if that works. I did it for fun and it opened so I havent tried it with just the four. Good luck and have fun with this awesome game

I can only recommend standing in the middle. Throwing from afar may start another pillar going. And be sure that you're following the Z pattern on the floor, not in the guide, because it will change depending on which version you have.

if your where i think you are you need to look at the floor there should be a pattern on the ground just follow that with the boomerang its in the shape of a Z if i remember correctly

have you ever tried pulling out your lantern and strolling around. it seems that I keep in mind the monkey popping out and helping you as quickly as you pull out your lantern. attempt that and walk out as much as now as you may and the monkey ought to come out.
