I only studied for 2 months before taking my LSAT. I ended up with a 168 (my score before the 2 months was 138). The truth is that the test itself is very easy once you have studied enough logical reasoning, but the real problem to the test is that you have to do it at high speeds. Usually your study materials will be 10x as hard as the real thing. The games that do show up in the test are usually the easiest, so don't even worry about getting something that'll make you want to shred the test in pieces. Also, take as many Formal Logic college courses (usually under Philosophy), and I can garantee you that you'll pull over a 160 without a problem.

It's reasonably tough, depending on the schools you're trying to get into. But it's actually not about the law; it's about reasoning. There is a lot of reading comprehension, and there are actually some puzzles. You know those logic puzzle booklets you can get? Where you have to figure out which order things went in, and they give clues like "if Joe goes before Susan, and Mary goes before Frank..." Next time you're at the bookstore, you can stop by the Test Prep section and flip through some practice tests to see what it's like. But if you're only 12, do NOT worry if it seems crazy hard for you now. A lot of those reasoning skills will come naturally for you as you get older and wiser :) and when you're ready to take it, you can get some prep guides and study your behind off. Good luck!

I didn't find it that hard (except that there was an error on the test the day I took it), but it depends on what kinds of things you are good at. Since most of it is reading comprehension and logic, those things are easier for some and harder for others. The same people may have had a much easier time than I did if the questions were of a different type.

I didn't think it was hard. A lot of it was just like the SAT. Only the logic games were different (and thus "harder"). Everyone tends to think that way so most people concentrate on the games section.
However, there are only so many types of games. Study enough, and you should be able to figure out how to solve all of them.

Yes, it was incredibly difficult. I studied for almost 3 years and did pretty well. It is all in how you prepare and how well you can handle the logic.
