deviant choices? What is your basis for your answer?

Michael, you are right about his deviant behavior being his own choice and he is responsible for his choices. On the other side of the coin, I wonder if his life would have been different if "someone" would have come along side and befriended him. How many other "Devins" are out there...it makes me wonder if there is anyone on my street, a neighbor perhaps that just needs to know people care. If every neighbor, every family member was watching out for one another, it seems the world might be a better place. Now we have someone who is "destroyed" and has destroyed two other younger lives and maybe more. Perhaps the world has lost a person in which we (society/family) could have made a difference?

Leroy, Yes, no doubt Michael Devlin became a criminal when he took what wasn't his. I don't for a second believe the "kid" was, as you said, content to remain because he had everything he wanted. Having everything a child wants leaves an emptiness in a kid who longs for restraint and training which comes from a parents unconditional love for the child. The end result does not justify the means and someone who offends a child is told in the Holy Scriptures it would be better for him to have a large stone tied around his neck and to be thrown into the ocean to drown. This example must reflect how God feels about hurting a child.

Michael Devlin chose to do what he did; His family, friends or society did not make those choices for him.

I think he had gay sex and enjoyed it. The guy treated him like his ***** and gave him everything he wanted. Why go home?
