Yes there is real love in todays life, but I'm sure it's hard to see it right when all the news talks about is divorce, breakups, cheating, and drama. We live in a society that is disposable. If it doesn't work, get rid of it, and get a new one. It's about ME ME ME, and my needs. Here is what love means.
Love is patient (this means acceptance), love is kind.
Love is not selfish, boastful, or rude.
Love is supportive and wants the best for the other person.
There is no fear in love.
It's a growing journey through the hard times and good times. It's a choice knowing that hey this person is not perfect but I accept her the way she/he. This is not easy. It's a choice, it's work, it's committement to each other, compromising sometimes your own needs. The result is that it should grow longterm into a bond between two people that is so special and unique that you're partners in life.

Certainly, it persists yet. You might not found the way you are assuming but that isn’t implies it does not exist. The affection between husband and wife is there but not always in the way each one wants but it’s available. Wife still thinks of husband’s liking, success and shares the sorrows & miseries and it is true for the husband also, he still think of her comfort. On the other hand there is also contradiction in daily life in the approaching to solve problem and thus we mix it as our partner is selfish and does not care what I think. It is the maturity that will help you to understand the individual. Opposite sex cannot think always as you think, if so you might not love your beloved, it is somewhat close but not exactly same in all cases but compromising most of the cases; opposite means you like the opposite doing which you lack and you compromise most at the beginning and less once it becomes routine. I do not want to bring the topic of love between parent and kids as the phrase word “Real Love” first strike to any individual as love between husband & wife or a girl & boy. If you would have been a parent you would have know how many unconditional sleepless night you have spent once your kid had fever or in problem, and kept thinking to fulfill the need of kids when he asked for some. Similar thing was also performed by your parents. In some cases parent shows less interest but that might be the way they want to bring up the kid. Similarly these happen between every relationship. We somewhat do not put the boundary from whom what max we can expect and hence blame other that he or she does not love. If we could place ourselves as the beloved and think on that behavior we might have justified the others ignorant or arrogant or compromised doing. So it exists yet, and does not sublime.

I feel bad that you felt the need to ask this question. I am thinking you may feel unloved.
In American society the word love is way overused. People love french fries, movies, fast cars and almost every thing else.
True love is alive today. My husband and I have been married for 30 years. Yeah there are days that I totally dislike him and don't even want to look at him. However I always love him. Would not trade him for the world and will miss him terribly if he dies before I do.
We may not have the romantic type of love that Hollywood represents, but he is my rock, my friend, and my home.

Present world has become really commercial, people are running towards income, since poverty is chasing them. They are effected by their needs. When one want is satisfied the other is cropping up, so for the same he is trying to work hard. In this mechanical life, the question for love is lapsing, almost dying in humans life. We are unable to find the true love, only outer appearance of love is roaming all arounds people's mind. I really personally feel that there is no real love existing in this world.

Depends on what you think real love is. You can have love between two individuals who are just friends, there's the love that includes sexual intimacy, there's family love, etc. Real love should be unconditional & honest ,& committed. A lot of people have conditions to their love & generally are not honest about them in the beginning of the relationship. You have to hang in there no matter what & be supportive to the object of your love. Unless of course that person is a phoney then by all means you owe it to yourself to find someone better.

"Love" has a lot of meaning in this life.
It bind's to 2 people's soul; i.e sharing thoughts, dreams,
desires, good companionship and trust.
I can truly say that my married life has been up and down, but we truly love each other to bits. An example of this, would be; I have been ill for several years and nobody supported me, only my husband. If he wanted to he would have left me 8 years ago.
My pets love me, however, i personally can't be trustworthy with strangers or some friends.
Although, an example of no love is my mother-in-law, who loves to socialise a lot; but has no compassion for us, when we go thru a bad time. When my baby died 2 weeks ago, we had no comfort, just abuse. She is a midwife!
I hope my answer is good enough for u!

NO only lust and leave,it all started with woman's liberation and lesbian groups and the welfare programs that broke up families ,then to free love, then to the movie brain washing then this point in time ,where men and women hate each other,I mean really hate each other, because man is not needed any longer,to plow the fields, fight off Indians or drive the wagon, and if you kill the kids you have more money to spend on yourself ,and buy things, lots of things.so no reason to marry or love long term, that's old fashion gone with the wind.

Oh, yes. Its love that binds this universe & the creation.
People loved during the time of Plato, Shakespeare, Kalidas, Tagore and love, as it is the marriage between minds, is still in the pot. Those who commercialise love are like the negative implicators who havemade people see the ugly & monstrous face of ever useful atomic energy in the incidents of atomisation of Hiroshima & Nagasaki. Real love is still a reality as it is the giver who counts in love. However give to him/her who is interested to receive.
