Bears do have good D
At one point the saints were 2 points from a tie at the 3rd. Inside NFL Dome teams are 0-10 what I heard.
Maybe saints are not used to the cold weather, and the outside slippery field. When it started snowing the saints suck very bad in the 4th. WHAT YOU THINK?

For the most part, the Bears Defense stepped up and shut down the running game which the Saints used to open up the passing game. Furthermore, outside of Reggie Bush's 88 yard TD scamper, the general offensive output was crushed sufficiently. Another thing to look at is the rushing game the Bears put into play, especially Thomas Jones gutting that defense. Rex Grossman controlled the tempo of the game extremely well and didn't have a single turnover, unlike Brees who was harassed and beaten down like a government mule. Every aspect of this game was decisively Bears, including home field advantage where this season all home teams have won in the NFC Playoffs and weather conditions (this Saints team has never been in such frigid conditions as they were today). You mention a slippery field, but both teams had to contend with that (notice that is how the Saints scored their first TD - when Tillman slipped on the field). The Bears knew what they had to do and they executed their gameplan almost to perfection.

NFL Dome Teams are 0-10 when playing the NFC Championship game outdoors was the stat you were looking at. Also, the Bears-Saints record stands at 2-2 since 2001.

4 Saints turnovers. This meant an average starting field position on the 44-yard line for the Bears and a 35 to 25 min. time of possession advantage. The best of defenses would have trouble dealing with that and while good, New Orleans' defense is not the best. When you get the ball ran at you 46 times, sooner or later they'll break some. The Saints also broke down against the pass toward the end, helping Grossman pull his stats out of the toilet. With a 4-0 turnover margin games usually turn into a blowout like this one did.

Bears are the best team in the NFL, the saints underestimated them; The Bears killed the best offensive team in the NFL 39-14 not 17-14 it wasn't weather the Bears were hungrier, they will do the same to the Colts ,God willing. "Bear down Chicago Bears"!

I'm a Bears fan and I feel something wasn't right about that game.I really thought Brees was going to pick the Bears' secondary apart, win or lose.
