As i think there is no certain defination of a freind. upto what extent one should share the thing with his/her freind. should this limit is different for a girl freind and boy freind.

I'm just going to assume that youre not talking about sharing materials/objects with these friends.
girls, naturally share a lot of things with each other. There are exceptions because some girls like to be a private person, but girls share practically anything. They talk about anything from there nails to personal love life. When a girl have a guy friend, she expect him to share most things in their life with her. It shows her that he trusts her and gives a sense of bonding.
With guys its a bit different. Guys tend to be more private. I think with guys talking about general life problems is the most that they can go for.

Everyone has different definitions of friendship, especially men and women. Men seem to change their definitions to suit their current situations, depending on what they think they can get from the friendship, and what they need at that moment in time. Women, they don't change their definitions. What they share with you one day, man or woman, they will share with you 10 years down the road.
