What's the best place in Africa to go for a vacation?

It all depends on what you are looking to do while you are on your vacation, how much time you have and safety

East and Southern African countries like Zambia, Kenya, Namibia, Botswana and The Republic of South africa, to name a few, boast vast national parks with abundant wild life and world class hotels and resorts while North and West African countries like Mali,Egypt and Tunisia are amongst other things, rich in ancient ruins.

I haven't been to North and West Africa and won't say much but I know they have good hotels and resorts too
However, I speak for the countries in Southern and Eastern africa that I have visited



For game viewing Kenya,Zambia, Botswana and The Republic of South africa are the best places to go.

For bird watching, i'd say Zambia, which boasts one of the highest bird species concentrations in africa and is home to the legendary "bird watching" walking safari

For the adventurous at heart, South Africa, Namibia and Zambia are good choices

-banji jumping,white water rafting,kayaking,river boarding,gorge swinging,canoeing,walking safaris etc in Zambia

-quad cruising,banji jumping,cage and scuba diving etc in South Africa
and sand boarding in Namibia

you could go mountain climbing in Kenya,Tanzania and South Africa

Take note that all of these countries are also very rich in wildlife, history and culture


If you have the time take an African tour, all the way from tunisia to cape town you won't regret it
or
tour through Southern and Eastern Africa, see the okavango delta,the kalahari,the great zimbabwe ruins,the victoria falls,sun city,masai mara,the khoisan,himba and masai people,see kilimanjaro and mt kenya
and so much more.
these tours are very affordable too!

To pick a country i'd say go to Zambia its not called the "Real Africa" for nothing, you'll love the experience.

it's also one of the most peaceful countries in africa
my other choices would be Kenya and South Africa

Ethiopia for sure, you most definently won't regret it. There is the Blue Nile Falls and i've been there and it is breathtaking. There are lakes, ancient castles beautiful sceneries and much more! The food is very yummmy, and the culture is great. Other places that seem interesting to me are Morrocco mainly and Egypt, Tanzania, and South Africa..maybe madagascar too? hmmm i wonder..they intrigue me but I've never to those!

There are loads of good places for vacation in Africa. Depends on the kind of vacation you want..
-beautiful beaches, think seychelles, mauritius, alslo have world class hotels.
- nature: kenya, tanzania, fantastic safari, and with kenya, you can combine mountains, nature, safari and beautiful beaches (since it is on the indian ocean coast).. same with tanzania thoug, if you can get to Zanzibar island. you'll never regret it.
- modern fun: south africa i guess
- total change: egypt, morocco, rwanda (the hills are awesome, girls are beautiful, service is good, see the gorillas, it's a hidden paradise)

I spent 2 months in Ghana two years ago. It is absolutly beautiful--mountains, ocean, culture. The food was great and depending on where you go in Ghana, you get a different kind of experience. They have a world famous hotel right on the ocean in Accra where US presidents have stayed. It's beautiful!
