You find her attractive? Tell her, you could go out with her, or at least save your grades as a result. She might also be flattered (or even feel guilty for messing you up), so she might ease out on you and give you easier questions.

Of course, a more probable scenario would be that she asked you a question because she thought you're not paying attention. It's some teacher's way of making you pay attention to the lesson.

i was told by a pscyhology teacher that it's normal for students to go blank for a few (10) seconds after being called to answer.

it's a mind behaviour : (shock - recall the question - grasp for words - hesitate - then answer.)
