I mean Harry Belafonte from the 50's as he looked in such movies as Island In The Sun, Bright Road, and Carmen Jones. That romantic gentleman with those lucious lips and those exotic green eyes.
And Blair Underwood- he's such a cutie. He plays that teacher on that show with Julia Lewis-Dreyfuss. He also made a pretty good-looking Frederick Douglass. (Yeah I know I'm a dork).
I know I'm leaving way more hotties out here so you can name whoever you want. But let's stick with black gentlemen and not thugs, ok? But then to each her own so I guess you can name a rapper type if you want.

How about Taye Diggs for someone a bit younger but not a thug. But I have to go with Harry Belafonte. He's the Main Man, he's the best eva, and I also give him huge props for making world music popular and introducing Miriam Makeba. I would not put him out of bed ..to this day....very engaging personality.

Ooooh, nice choice for both of them. However, in a crunch (neither would be thrown out for eating crackers) it would have to be Blair Underwood. Hot on his heels are Philip Michael Thomas (from the original Miami Vice) and (zounds!!!) Mario Van Peebles.
