I'm just throwing this out there, and it's probably too practical of an idea, but that's why I like it. When we apply for a job, we have to be interviewed, take tests, sometimes physicals, polygraph tests--to make sure we qualify for the job, and all just to be able to earn a living. When we become someone's mate (boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife, whatever) it's probably the most important job we will ever perform in our lives, yet we don't interview each other to make sure we are compatible and qualified to be someone's partner for life. We think too much with our hearts and not enough with our heads, and base our acceptance on physical attraction, when that is usually the easiest and most obvious factor. Just think of how much time, effort, tears, fears, and money we could save if we would be a little more practical in our approach to relationships, especially if we were looking for a marriage partner. And please don't attack me for not being romantic, because I'm very much so.

I agree. I too am a 'logical romantic' and we definitely disprove the notion that logical people are cold and heartless and vice versa. I know most of the people bashing you will be women. Why? Because women resent the idea of not thinking with their emotions, even for one hour.

If anyone thinks I'm a raving misogynistic sexist, BITE ME!

it sounds like a good idea in theory, but i don't think it would work in practice

for example, i love music, so what if i only let girls who liked the same music as me "pass." but the thing is, a girl who likes the music i like might be a psycho... or even if the more important questions were right, we still might not be right for each other. romance is such a tricky issue, i just don't think you can break it down like science. a girl can have the qualities you're looking for and still not excite you or be someone you want to be around...

or what if the right person for you is much older or younger, and you wouldn't look for someone that age? or maybe they're even married now. everyone says tom hanks has the perfect celebrity marriage. well when he met his wife, she was married.

Yes, that is practical, I think in a sense we already "interview" each other as we get to know one another in the first stages of a relationship. But many employers will admit that there have been times where they interviewed someone and thought "oh, she is all wrong for the job, but I'm going to hire her anyway."

i think adding a mandatory relationship & socilaizing class to high school wud be a better idea, instead of tests to see who u can put up with, try to teach people the responsiblitys of a relationship and the proper way to comunicate, not just find people who already agree so u never have to comuinicate ur differerances.

Are you bitter? Did something happen? Why all these questions in p&s? Maybe these should be in the relationship section? (sorry for complaining)
