First of all, most immigrants did not come to this continent - not just the USA, but the continent as a whole - out of a sense of adventure, but for economic reasons. Most were poor and couldn't think of any other way to find a way out of poverty. (Most remained in poverty when they got here).

Second, personality has little to do with genetics. It is largely determined by things that happen to you, the choices you make, the things people teach you - that above all perhaps - as well as the general culture in which you are raised.

Third, come on. Can you really look at most of the people around you and call them either adventurous, or patient, or warriorlike? Many people on this continent are none of these. If we were adventurous, and/or warlike, we'd all be flocking to Iraq and Afghanistan to help win the war, right? And if we were patient, we would all have money in our savings accounts.
Ha! I for one have no intention of joining the military, and am broke.

None of the above, least of all patient.

First of all, adventurousness, patience, and whatever it is that makes a good warrior, are probably not genetic. In fact, I'm going to say that they are definitely not determined in large part by genes.

Second of all, there have been so many immigrants to the United States over the past few hundred years that there is no way you can call all these people adventurous, patience, and warrior-like. Not to say that some of these immigrants haven't had some of the qualities, but it's impossible to say that somehow all these people - who have not all equally mixed with one another - were universally adventurous, patient, and warrior-like.
