From time to time, people develop a mild case of the blues, but I seem to take it hard whenever I get depressed. So, what do you do to beat a mild case of the blues?

Mild case? Uplifting music can do wonders!

Do some volunteer work. I go to Thanksgiving Point. There are 55 acres of gardens. Absolutely beautiful! They have many opportunities for volunteering>in the Summer months there is the Discovery Gardens, children's adventures on Monday nights next comes Spooky Tales in Oct. and breakfast with Santa in Dec. It always makes me feel good to be there. Most towns have some volunteer opportunities...hospitals, library. There is nothing like helping someone else with their problems to make me feel less depressed about my own.

usually i watch my fav. tv show that always makes me laugh....or another good thing is to grab some water and an apple and a good book and go outside on a blanket and read for a while....or dress up really pretty and go out...sitting and sulking is never the answer and only makes things worse...so try one or all of these and feel better cuz tomorrow is another day!

Grab some of your favourite DVDs, some muchies such as popcorn or chocolate, get comfortable and indulge yourself for a while. Then when you start to feel better, call a friend, go out have fun, treat yourself to something.

Watch something you find funny on TV, eat something you like, and just do things that would appeal to YOU, and your personality. Videogames and online games help too. Mindless crap to take the edge off of things.

Do something spontaneous to break routine. Have lunch at my favourite eating establishment or perhaps purchase a book I have had an eye on.
