Emotions are usually our response to a situation, and so can vary according to our perspective, though if it has anger you it means that there is something to learn and get empowered through. Though responding to our response is most crucial only then can we make an informed and balanced decision, based on our intuition.
So, making choices based purely on our emotional state would not be good idea after all, as they can mislead us into thinking that just by avoiding an uncomfortable feeling or situation would be the best solution for the moment.
Though in reality, the best decisions are the most uncomfortable ones.
So if a choice makes us feel expansive it is a good choice for that moment, and that is how our intuition usually guides us.
Otherwise we might get carried away in emotional turmoil and may end up making rash judgment, statements and choices thereof.

Decision making is primarily a logical process... therefore reason has to be the basis... however, reason has to duly take into account the emotional equation of the decision-maker on the one hand and those affected by it on the other hand. If emotions are ignored, the reasoning process would be incomplete and can often give incorrect decisions.

Emotion plays the best in situations that warrant dynamic decisions. Reasoning needs time and can take you in wrong direction because it uses facts and past history. Emotion is almost instantaneous.
For ex., a student applies for a non-physics mains after having done miserably in physics before. His friends make fun of him during his application process. If he thinks of reasoning, then he would go with non-physics taking all the shame. If he is emotional, then he might opt for physics and he could come out successful if he kept his emotion. If he tries reasoning, most likely he would go with non-physics because reason would say that he is weak in physics where as no one can be weak if he is determined.

Yep, ever herard of 'Women's Intuition'?
This only happens because we allow our emotive self to override practical or reasonable situations.
The best example is when a mother with a sick child is told he has a low grade temperature no too much to worry about,"go home and see how he/she is after panadol", but heads straight for a second opinion only to find the child has the beginnings of meningitis and " lucky we got onto it early or {child} may have been gravely ill"
It is pure emotion to know a child is really in dire straits Even when the initial assessment was absolutely true, something felt significant enough to compel this woman to disregard her trusted GP and seek that second opinion.
I have experienced this phenomonon numerous times and it must stem from the undiminished and total love ( The Emotion of emotions) that only a being begat of our body can instil.

The short answer is no.
Emotins give us a basis for our reasoned decisions, but it should never be used in place of reason. Too many people have been hert or killed that way throughout the ages. Hope this helps

Reasoning can only go so far.
with reasoning, you're only working on the 'facts' as presented to you, or as you've researched yourself.
Remember; books are just another man's philosophy, and 'facts' are manipulated every day by the negative element in this world.
Emotions are controlled by our 'conscience, subconscience mind'. We all draw our inspiration from 'the cosmic knowledge bank' whether we choose to believe it or not.
Ask the 'right' questions in the 'right' manner, and 'life' shows you the way. (Never known to fail).
The resources below should explain better.

Who to marry is the only thing that cannot be decided rationally. Who you love is not a rational thing.
EVERYTHING else, listen to your head.
