Yes, I believe so. I think that the majority of people wear masks because they are afraid people wont like who they really are. No one wants to look vulnerable or weak.

As far as looks...well, I guess they matter too. Heaps of people get cosmetic surgery, buy things like "slim and lifts", all sorts of crazy "look great, feel great in 10 days" things.

Man, are you serious? Most of the booming industries today mainly involve image. The right car, the right clothes, the hippest or most "in" places to go, the hottest diet to be on...I hope you're not disturbed by all of the propaganda we see on a regular basis. The mere fact that newscasters waste their breath talking about bickering celebrities and their feuds running over into newspapers is an indication of where people's attention goes. For some it is ALL about image. Not me though...It's exhausting to put on a show for people all the time. If you're not being yourself then who are you?

Unfortunately in todays society image is all important. At no time in history has image been as important as today.

Do you think Bill Gates cares what you think of his looks?
What about Donald Trump?
Maybe Kate Moss and the other super models, but unless that is your business I think it's more of how you feel about yourself.
