The first thing you should do it say good morning to the tester.
The second thing you should do is ask him to put on his seat belt and not to start the car until he has done so. Put on your own seat belt also!!!
After that it depends on what kind of course he takes you on, some places have a closed course in a parking lot that you will have to make a bunch of turns, back up and park and stop kind of stuff, other places take you out into the open road where you will do the same basic things.
Remember to keep both hands on the wheel at ALL times except when shifting gears ( if you take the test in a standard).
Good luck

The driving test examiner isn't going to be talking to you during your drive, except to give you instructions on what to do. Don't drive as normal people drive, drive according to the textbook. Demonstrate to the examiner that you know exactly what you are doing, and you are doing as expected by the law, as if a traffic officer is watching you and waiting with a ticket book. Your ability to drive according to the law is proof enough of your grasp of it. Also, take your time, you get no points at all for "quickness" in your actions, and you could even get booted for it, even though you think you're doing a good job.

The person testing you tells you to do certain things while grading how well you do them. (Start the vehicle, turn right at the corner, park up ahead, chage lanes, etc.)
