Besides being stress, I have been eating ok, not on medications and keeping well.
But... I have a problem. My period began 1/7/2006, and it was light. Usually my periods are always heavy and it usually lasts for 6 days maximum...so I figured something was strange. It's now 1/22/2006 and I am still bleeding, discharging blood/pinkish creamish dishcharge. I am not pregnant and haven't been sexually active. I usually do have ab-normal pap smears and frequest yeast infections .. . but I dont understand the bleeding for 2 weeks. I am very scared, and I know something is not right, but 'am I really that brave to find out what's wrong with me? .... I have an appointment during this week for a Colposcopy.. and I'm so... nervous.

this isn't frequent... SEE a clean OB. GYN. right now. I had 3 D&C's by using Endometriosis, and had no prolonged bleeding in any respect. yet did finally end up with a Hysterectomy at 37. commence on B-complicated and Iron pills to help stay away from extreme anemia. Ask friends who they pass to and hit upon a clean OB GYN. once you call for an appointment, be particular to describe the urgency. God Bless and robust success.

first of all pay no heed to Joe Mama, unless he's a psychic doctor! are you using any contraceptive devices? could be related to that. sometimes the female body does things that we are scared about, i think this is partly due to us not being as in tune with our bodies as we could be, i know i'm trying to take more notice of things i feel or see regarding my body! but do go and see your doctor, he/she can then work out what is wrong, if anything, and either treat it or reassure you. either way, when in doubt consult the experts, that's why they are there! it can be scary to go,especially when you get anxious about something, but if you dont go soemthing else may happen to make you ill- i doubt it, but always best to find out and have a clear relaxed mind. good luck, be brave, look after yourself ok?

I know of someone who was bleeding for 2 months. She was in menopause and it was all caused by a hormone imbalance. She was examined by a doctor who also did a sonogram and a pap smear. Everything was normal. Sometimes it just happens because of a hormone imbalance.

Hi again, I answered you adoption Q.
The symptoms you are having are ALL related to hormonal imbalances and thid one probably includes an iron problem too.
See your GYN, they can piece it all together for you.
