You can tell that the person is a true friend by the way that person trusts you with his/her most valued possessions without ever thinking about it twice. You would have the same trust in that person. The person in particular will tell you the truth even though the answer will hurt you or dissappoint you in some way, the friendship means more than to tell a lie so that you can feel good instead your friend would rather you know the truth than not. When you and that friend share everything between eachother and have respect for eachothers feelings, when you can have an arguement with your friend and not have to worry if your friend will return after an apology because you know for a fact that you and him/her are forever inseparable. A true friendship means that both friends are there for eachother no matter what the circumstance. When everyone else turns their heads the oher way and want nothing to do with you , your friend will always be there as well as you would for him/her. True friendship is a relationship of equality and openmindedness for new things and consideration for eachothers emotions.

What qualities do you seek to consider a friend a "true friend"? If you know the answer to this question then you will find that person. Keep in mind people you do not know are friends you just have not met yet.....be open to friendships.

dear ...true friend is Nothing if he/she is not for you in need..
To know some one you have 3 criteria
1) Live next to him/her.
2) Give a loan to him/her.
3) Travel with him/her.
These are ways you find out what the person is made up off. And then "YOU CHOOSE YOUR FRIENDS"..
A person is always know by the company he keeps.

I truly have 2 people who I call true friends...my sister and my best friend from kindergarden. I find them more reliable and trust them most because they know me as well as I know myself. I do not trust work friends or my husbands friends wives or girlfriends.

i've noticed that most of the people that are most true to you are related to you. look to cousins or close relatives. my mom and sister are some of my best friends. they will never lie to you and will always be there for you no matter how much you do or do not deserve it. even some of my closest friends have left me feeling betrayed.
