My teacher is getting us to write about narcissism among other stuff, and what I'm stuck on is providing examples as to how teenage behavior can often be described as "narcissistic", and whether the term describes it accurately or not.

Rushing to the bathroom between EVERY class to respray hair and redo makeup. Constantly talking about themselves to the exclusion of anything else. Refusing to be seen with parents because they're embarassing.

Narcissus fell in love with a reflection of himself and died of grief because he couldn't be physically united with his reflection.

So we can start with people who seem to be in love with their reflections. You probably know some people like that.

Then there are also the people who become fixated on some goal that is not possible to attain, and suffer depression when that goal is not reached.

Either type of person could truthfully said to be narcissistic.

Now this is an opportunity to do what students have done for centuries. Things like this are usually arranged alphabetically in a variety of repositories. (clue: self-centered and selfish, gross exageration of one's self. narcissis was in love with himself)

examples:when u spend too much time looking in the mirror;when everything is about u and no one else
