i think it's a good movie for the whole family to see but it really would be up to the parents and how they feel about what there children watch.

yes I think so freedom writer is a movie for the family to watch I would tell any young child to watch that

I don't know about a 12 y/o what is the rating. You'd be better off going to see Night at the Museum. It was really a gut buster.

YES... its a great movie, and it has a real good message behind it. But only take your son to see it if he is mature enough to handle language and mature themes.

My 13 year old friend saw it and said it was REALLy good. I would think that it would be ok!
