Do any of you know of some poems that can let one know that life is not all bad, but is actually good?
I need a poem for a friend, he is a bit depressed and is questioning his life. So I need a poem that says "Life is good".......

I think what your friend needs is you- sounds like you've got a big job to do- don't give up on him and let him know that you are there in rain or snow- remember to mention God, He will help you do this job. Life can be so hard and sad, but things can change from that to glad! just be his friend and pray together and let God take you through this stormy weather-together!!!! Don't let your friend give up on life, He may be blessed with a wonderful family and wife- the things God has planned for us can be great, if we are willing to stick in there and wait!

Go to a library and check out the Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul books. I've got one sitting on my desk right now. There's "101 stories of life, love and learning" in each book. They really are inspirational.

If this person is questioning his life, I doubt any poem is going to make him feel better. Talk to him, and try to get him to see a doctor. If not, just re-assure him that you are there for him to listen when he needs to talk. If it is a teen, talk to his parents.

sorry bout that, i had to say it. but seriously now, a poem won't help. a serious talk with them is what it takes. try gathering up all the people that love you're friend and explaining to him that without him their worlds wouldn't be worth anything.

birds are happy, chirping all around,
why are u sad, laying upon the ground?
come and play with the fresh air and flowers,
lets play in park round-a-round!!

see the hen, do they complain,
of not being a vulture??
so, be happy for u have loav and friendship,
because being happy is our culture!

forget the pains, forget the sorrows,
let them mend their own way,
learn to smile, live the life,
u will find happiness every-day!!

never mind poems... just tell him it could be worse and say 4 instance... the floor could rip open and you can fall down a mineshaft 100000 feet into a pile of loose razorblades and cut himself all over while trying to get up and then have lemon juice poured on him and then be lit on fire and fall into a big pool of fresh gazoline
